New Year Goals

As 2020 draws closer people start thinking of positive changes they can make to their lives, these positive changes usually fall under the heading of New Year Resolutions. Since I am incapable of sticking to any sort of resolution, I have decided to set goals. Goals work for me, mainly because I see them as something with a result, each goal comes with an adaptation to life so I guess it’s just another name for a resolution. Anyway, analysis over, here are my main goals for 2020.

1. Read at least 6 books 📔 - I know some of you may smash out 6 books in a few weeks but I'm not much of a reader, I'm more of a podcast kind of person but I hope to read more books focused around health, well-being, and business. I've started off with a great book called Side Hustle by Chris Guillebeau, so far i'm gripped and feeling motivated to achieve great things in 2020.

2. Grow my side-line 💰 - for a while now I have been freelancing alongside my full-time job. I hope to grow my little venture in an attempt to be in a position where I can pursue this full time. This is where the Side Hustle book is coming in useful as it is providing me with lots of useful tips on how to achieve this goal.

3. Commit to my Instagram 💻 - I certainly neglected my account in 2019 and struggled to find the time to constantly post stories but I will aim to post and engage more. Instagram is a great platform for making new friends and getting ideas so I'm looking forward to discovering more wonderful accounts. You can find my home Instagram here - @little_oak_home - drop by and say Hello!

4. Start a blog 🖋️ - Well at least I can tick this one off, perhaps I should change it to ‘maintain a blog’. I know this is probably a little dated now but I have always wanted to start a blog on home & life.

5. Work out 🏋️‍♂️ - I got really into working out at one point in 2019 but then found myself saying I 'didn't have the time' due to work, chores, life - great excuse right? I'm determined to get back into working out more in 2020.

I also have a few personal goals that I would like to achieve too but for now, I'll stick with those. Please feel free to share your goals in the comments or drop me a message so we can be goal buddies! 😀 Follow my Instagram (little_oak_home) to see how I get on with my goals.
